Marraige IS a Ministry

Rusty and I have been attending the series, "Marriage is a Ministry" at our church. We didn't even know what we were getting in to when we started going, but it has most definitely been a blessing in disguise! Pastor Craig Castor hosts the series. If you ever have the chance to get in on this series, I strongly recommend it. It has been such a blessing to us so far, and we've got so much more to learn.

Happy Daddy Day

Father's Day has become something that both Rusty and I struggle with since both of our Father's have passed on, but when you have 4 Littles like this, how can Father's Day not be one of the sweetest days of the year! Poor Emmy though...she tasted her very first lemon today!

Jurassic Emmy

This is Emmy's newest noise. She sounds just like the dinosaur that spits in Jurassic Park!

Zumba

Now that I've started back on Weight Watchers, I've started back at Zumba too! Here's a video of what I'm doing on Monday nights (no, it's not me in the video)! Angelyn started going with me when I started back. She'd never danced Zumba before, but she's catching on pretty good. I still laugh at her, of course, but, we're having a great time!

Emmy - 6 Months Old

Emmy is 6 months old already! What a joy and blessing she is too! She "EEEs". She doesn't really cry too often, but when she does, it's the most piercing "EEE" that I've ever heard in my life.

She likes to suck on her two fingers. I'm pretty sure she's gonna be right handed. Emmy is so close to military crawling. before we know it, she'll be crawling around all over the place! We think she is starting to teethe, but there's only a ton of slobber right now.

6 months, baby girl! One day, I'll be watching you graduate from college and wonder where time got off to.

Weekend Fun

We all got together this weekend for a little family time. We had a great time!

Couch Naps

I took a couch nap today! Normally, when I fall asleep on the couch, Rusty tries to get my picture, but I usually wake up and stop him. I guess I was pretty tuckered....I had no idea that my picture was being taken. Thank God my mouth wasn't wide open, huh?!

Up - In 3D

I took two of the littles to see "Up" last weekend with Angelyn, Chris, and their kids. We all looked real spiffy in our 3D glasses! It was a really good movie with some pretty touching themes (Rachel and I both cried in parts).

5 stars for family friendliness!

Lazy Days

Cody is FINALLY here for the summer....Excitement overload!

Our First 5K

Cody and I ran in our first 5K today! Weight Watchers sponsored the 5K for the Second Harvest. The entry fee was 2 cans of food to be donated to the homeless. We had such a good time. We met up with my friend, Eileen, from Weight Watchers, and the kids cheered us on from the playground. Cody and I really only ran for a little bit before we got tuckered out, but nonetheless, we RAN for a little bit!

For me, the 5K was great, but the time that Cody and I got to spend together was priceless. Cody was thrilled to just be able to pour water on my head without getting into trouble!

First Week of Summer

The first week of summer passed so fast that it feels like it is Tuesday. I am sitting at the dinner table writing about the first of summer while my bubby, Sam, a.k.a. Samburger, finishes his "On the Border" meal.

I am so sad that school is gone, but look on the bright side...since summer is going so fast, that means that I will be in 4th grade faster than I thought it would be. I can't wait until I am in 4th grade.

P.S. I really want my teacher to me Ms. Daymond. Ms. Daymond is a very nice teacher to me.

Shootin' the Breeze

Calvary Chapel Women's Ministry had target practice this past weekend. I have only ever shot a gun one time in my life, and that was with my eyes closed while aiming at the dirt. Angelyn, however, is Miss Annie Oakley / NRA when it comes to guns, so she hooked me up with some tips. We had to head out early because of another meeting, but the time that we had there was pretty good! I definitely want to go back sooner than later.
