11th Grade
4th Grade
Yes. Rachel started the 4th Grade yesterday! She grabbed her brand new pink bag with matching pink binder, and headed to the bus stop with a pep in her step! She had a great first (and second) day of school, and is even rushing home from the bus stop to get her homework done as fast and accurately (of course) as possible!
She will be 30 before we know it!

Samaritan's Feet
Rusty and Rachel spent their Saturday at a local housing authority washing feet, spreading the gospel, and handing out new shoes to over 200 kids in the area."Samaritan's Feet is a non-profit ministry dedicated to changing lives through Shoes of Hope distributions around the world. 300 million people wake up each morning without a pair of shoes to protect their feet from injury and disease. The goal of Samaritan's Feet is to provide shoes to 10 million of these individuals in the next 10 years by teaching them a biblical story of faith, hope, and love, demonstrating those truths in touching them by washing their feet, and treating them to a new pair of shoes and socks."
What an awesome ministry!
Little Drummer Boy

I took Sam and Emmy to Best Buy this weekend to find a new house phone while Rusty and Rachel were at Samaritan's Feet. Sam has become quite the musician since Cody's visit this summer. He knows all kinds of things, but doesn't necessarily know what to do with all of his new found "skills". He was very clear, however, that of all the guitars on the wall in Best Buy, his was the blue one! Then, he found the drums, and that was the end of his guitar interests. He is now asking to play the drums...all the time! Tuesday, August 4, 2009

Captian Sammy Underpants!
Sam is officially potty trained! This week has been one of no overnight pull ups, and we can't tell you enough how happy we are for him and his "Big Boy" self! I love that Huggies placed little items on the pull up so that if he went during the night, the object dissappeared. That was a huge help with reinforcement. For the longest time, we had horseshoes or stars to look forward to each morning, but this last batch had snowflakes on them, which is strange, but I don't think the kids care - as long as there's SOMETHING there!Congratulations, Sammy Pants! We are so proud of you!
