BBQ @ Joey's

We had an awesome time at Joey's this past weekend! Burgers and dogs on the grill...can't beat that with a stick! Look how all of the boys are out there "tending" to the grill.

Strollin' Right Along

We all walk Rachel to the bus stop every morning, and then Sam, Emmy, and I go for a longer walk through the neighborhood. Emmy has decided that she is going to sit up in her stroller for the entire trip! She sure is growing up fast!

11th Grade

Cody started 11th Grade yesterday. I have just been informed, by Rusty, that I am never to speak of this again! I wonder if he's feeling old! For some reason, the school messed up Cody's schedule and kicked him out of band, but he's gotten it all straightened out. Before we know it, Cody is gonna be getting married and having babies. Wow!

4th Grade

Yes. Rachel started the 4th Grade yesterday! She grabbed her brand new pink bag with matching pink binder, and headed to the bus stop with a pep in her step! She had a great first (and second) day of school, and is even rushing home from the bus stop to get her homework done as fast and accurately (of course) as possible!

She will be 30 before we know it!

Emmy's First Trip to Wakulla

Emmy had her first trip to Wakulla Springs a few weekends ago. She looked so cute in her little bathing suit! She liked to look at the water and watch Rachel and Sam play in the water, but when it came time for her tootsies to be put into the water, she was very vocal about her disdain for the chill! She wanted NOTHING to do with it! It's funny how Sam loved it when he was 6 months old, but Emmy was extremely irritated with me for even attempting to put her feet in. For the most part, she just chewed on the water gun and stayed real close to a warm body!

Indian Mounds

Rusty took 3 of the littles to Indian Mounds while Cody was still visiting. They love hiking in the woods and spending time together. A rather strange bug joined in on the fun too! Ik...

True Friendship

My Dad always told me that I'd be lucky if I could count on one hand the friends that I would have once I became an adult. Such a wise man he was. I have several friends, but there is nothing more special to me than a friend that has been sent to me by God.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (John 15:13)
A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. (Proverbs 18:24)
I am so thankful that God has given me my friends.

Sit Up, Emmy!

Little Miss sat up by herself for the very first time today! Next thing you know, she'll be doing laundry and dishes!

Samaritan's Feet

Rusty and Rachel spent their Saturday at a local housing authority washing feet, spreading the gospel, and handing out new shoes to over 200 kids in the area.

Everyone involved in this ministry Saturday came away so blessed and on fire for the Gospel!

"Samaritan's Feet is a non-profit ministry dedicated to changing lives through Shoes of Hope distributions around the world. 300 million people wake up each morning without a pair of shoes to protect their feet from injury and disease. The goal of Samaritan's Feet is to provide shoes to 10 million of these individuals in the next 10 years by teaching them a biblical story of faith, hope, and love, demonstrating those truths in touching them by washing their feet, and treating them to a new pair of shoes and socks."

What an awesome ministry!

Cooking Kiddos

Rachel and Kate certainly have an imagination. They mixed all sorts of strange things together and called it, "soup", but if you ask me, it made me gag on several occasions...especially when they started eating their creations! Oh my!

Little Drummer Boy

I took Sam and Emmy to Best Buy this weekend to find a new house phone while Rusty and Rachel were at Samaritan's Feet. Sam has become quite the musician since Cody's visit this summer. He knows all kinds of things, but doesn't necessarily know what to do with all of his new found "skills". He was very clear, however, that of all the guitars on the wall in Best Buy, his was the blue one! Then, he found the drums, and that was the end of his guitar interests. He is now asking to play the drums...all the time!

Batman Sam

This past Friday, Cole gave Sam his Batman costume that he had outgrown. Let's just say that Sam would sleep in it if we'd let him!

Little # 5

Yesterday, to our pleasant surprise, we found out that we are expecting Corley #5 on April Fool's Day, 2010! I did not have any symptoms, but when different people from different areas of our lives started asking me if I was pregnant, for no reason whatsoever, I became suspicious. BOTH tests said "Pregnant", so, here we go again! Cody may have yet another sister on the way, so if this one's a girl, in honor of Cody, we're gonna name her "Kodi"!! Rachel thinks we should have twins so the boy / girl ratio stays the same!
The names will be as follows:
Wyatt Murray or Sarah Angelique

Emmy - 8 Months Old

Little Miss is 8 months old and what a joy she is! We still don't have any teeth, sitting up, or full fledged crawling, but again, it seems like she is so close! This month has brought about several milestones though. She laughs regularly, has had her first shower and bowl of cereal, and is very aware of the camera! She successfully makes it to the other side of the room in no time with her "Oh so gracious" military crawl as well! In case you were wondering, her scream is still very much part of her red headed personality!

A Babby Visit

Patti came to visit a couple of weeks ago. It was a busy visit with Joey moving into his new house, but we did get in some quality time! The kids love it when Babby visits!

Sam's Superhero Party

Sam was invited to a Superhero party a few weeks ago. He knows ALL of his super heroes, so when he was given an opportunity to wear his Superman mask, he jumped on it within seconds. He loved his very first experience on a trampoline, and enjoyed the pinata as well.

Captian Sammy Underpants!

Sam is officially potty trained! This week has been one of no overnight pull ups, and we can't tell you enough how happy we are for him and his "Big Boy" self! I love that Huggies placed little items on the pull up so that if he went during the night, the object dissappeared. That was a huge help with reinforcement. For the longest time, we had horseshoes or stars to look forward to each morning, but this last batch had snowflakes on them, which is strange, but I don't think the kids care - as long as there's SOMETHING there!

Congratulations, Sammy Pants! We are so proud of you!

My Boy Turned 16!!

Cody turned 16 today! We celebrated his birthday before he went back to his Mom's house, but still...16! Wow! Grandma and Patti were here for the celebration, and the littles just loved helping him open his gifts!
He's turned into such a fine, Christian man. I'm so proud of him and love him so much!
