Sarah - 2 Months
I can't believe it's already been two months since Sarah was born! She's turned out to be such a little cuddle bug! She's also a real calm little baby. I think she and Sam have somewhat of the same temperament (at least for now, anyways).
Sarah smiles all of the time, and occasionally, we'll get a chuckle out of her. She's been sleeping through the night for nearly a month now..for the most part. She weighed in at a whopping 9.1 pounds at her last checkup, and is doing so good with the other littles. Rusty and I have often said that, even though the littles may not understand who is who in the house at first, they certainly know that they are brothers and sisters! There is an amazing bond between them that we can't explain! They all want to hold her, kiss her, or love on her every minute that they get a chance to.
Sarah has moved on from sleeping most of her days away to enjoying the family time. She even joins us at dinner in her bumbo when she can. She's still little enough for me to swaddle her into a little burrito, which I think is quite possibly one of the sweetest things in the world, and is most definitely, a binky baby! Sam enjoyed his binky, but Emmy would have nothing to do with them after awhile.
Little Bity Sarah has certainly been the much needed addition to the Corley Clan!

Sam Speaks
A conversation between brothers:
Cody said, "Sam, show me your BIG muscles!" So, Sam showed Cody his BIG muscles, and Cody said, "Wow! Those are some BIG muscles, but you know whose muscles are bigger?" Sam said, "Whose?" Cody answered, "SUPERMAN!" Sam paused for a moment and then responded with, "Well, I fly better!"

Beth's New Lily Pad
Beth got to house sit for the last 2 weeks or so, and I'm fairly certain that she turned into a frog or a fish or some type of aquatic animal. She spent quite a bit of time in the pool...and so did we! We also played in the jacuzzi, the walk-in shower (that I hope to have in the house we build one day), played pool, and ate way too much junk food! What an amazing weekend!!! To top it off, Cody arrived for the summer, and we finished off the weekend an awesome dinner at our house!
Silly Sharks
While swimming, Sam and Rachel pretended to be sharks. In order to be a shark, you have to place your "fin" (your hand) on top of your forehead and swim. Joey and Cody kinda took that to a rather strange place, and they didn't know that I was recording...
Please pray for them.
Summer Swimming
Beth was house sitting over the last couple of weekends, so, with the owner's permission, we took total advantage of their pool!

Binky Baby
If you have ever wondered what the binky goes through while in a baby's mouth, here's a preview.
There are two things that I noticed once I posted the video to YouTube, however. 1. There's a little itty booger in Sarah's nose. (oops! Bad Mommy) and 2. Her eyelashes are AMAZING!
The Swagger Wagon
I've always called the minivan, "The Mini," but I'm thinking that I may very well adopt this one...
It's Summer....
....and, if it's up to me, ALL of the Corleys should be swimming...as much as possible! (well, except for Sarah, of course). Hopefully, we will be able to get the Littles a small pool sometime this week so they can have some fun on days that we don't mooch off of someone else's pool!
Miss "Tude"
Emmy. Need I say more? That one little word means so very many things in the Corley Clan!
The Little Stinker has developed quite the little attitude in the last month or so. I will go ahead and tell you that she has about 8 teeth all coming in at one time, and we just brought home her little sister, but my goodness, she's a handful! I find myself asking her if she needs to go to time out so many more times a day, and then sending her Little self to time out when she doesn't straighten up, than I think all of us combined use the bathroom in 3 days!
I will try to catch this on video, but usually, when I ask her if she needs a time out, she can calm herself down relatively quickly.
Here's how our conversation goes:
Me - "Emmy? Do you need a time out?"
Emmy - "K"
Me - Emmy, you need to be a good girl, ok?"
Emmy - "K"
As I begin this conversation, Emmy is in tears because her Little world has just capsized onto itself, but as soon as I threaten the time out, she can snap right out of it. It is absolutely the cutest thing I've ever seen her do, with the exception of when she figured out how to stand on her head and when she chased Grammy's cat around the house.
This Little may very well be the key breaking point of my mental state this summer, but hopefully, I'll be well enough to blog about it. If not, you will find me hiding somewhere where there's a pool and a margarita (or two)!

Pigtails
Rachel is thrilled that Emmy's hair is finally getting long enough to play with. She gave her pigtails tonight!
Goin' to Grandma's
We headed to Grandma's house this past weekend. It had been WAY too long since our last visit. The kids really LOVE going to Grandma's despite the 3+ hour drive. I think Sam was, by far, the most upset little when we had to leave. He sat in the bathroom, crying, because we had to leave.
It was a great visit, and there were lots of Corleys that got to love on the littles!
