Little Pooh

Well, Big Pooh made his debut to the blog earlier this month. Then, we found "Little Pooh" at Grammy's house the other day. Now, Emmy is happy.

Sam's Belly Button Sings

Last Little Sitting

It's been a productive Veteran's Day. Rachel taught Sarah how to sit up all by herself today. Of course, there were a few bonks, but she seemed to catch on really quick! I got it on video, for the most part, and you can see her progression over time...and, of course, see a normal Corley Clan day home from school. Officially, it's the last Little to learn how to sit up alone, and it's kinda sad. One day, I'll be writing a blog that's called, "Last Little Graduates College" or something.

Also, on the video, you can hear Sam mention - ever so innocently - that I have white hair. Thanks buddy!

If These Belly Buttons Could Talk

I've always done this with the Littles, but this was the first time (I think) that I remembered to get it on film!

Jump Drive Dump #9

For several months, Sam was convinced that he was an alligator.

Jump Drive Dump #8

Yup -- This is My Boy ... rrggghh....Man

We live vicariously through Cody. He's the cool one. I have told him, since I can remember the little booger of a kid trying to climb up me to give me a hug, that I was going to be depending on him to keep me cool, but who was I kidding...I'm pretty awesome!

Cody has been dating this girl, Emily, for quite some time now. I haven't met her, but she seems real nice. I'm hoping to get to meet her at Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Cody will be 18 soon. My heart breaks to think that my kiddo, my Sir Cody Lot, my Star-Feet Stinky Toe Hair, my first Little - will be a grown man in no time. He has, of course, had his moments, but as far as teenagers go, he's amazing, and I couldn't have asked for a better kid to be unexpectedly brought into my life and more importantly, into my heart.

I love you, kiddo!

Halloween, 2010

Quite the eventful evening for the Corley Clan. We went to the "Trunk or Treat" at Canopy Roads (our AWANA church) where the Littles got to run around to 20+ trunks that each had handfuls of candy. Rachel and Sam pretty much ran around to all of the trunks within minutes, and had come back to us where we were still letting Emmy "fish" with Mrs. Mary and Mr. Steve (Cubbie leaders). Rachel and Sam got to go on the hay ride at the church, where we got a pretty interesting picture of "Spider Man" with a mysterious green balloon. Of course, Pirate Eileen (love her) was there manning the voting booth for the "Best Trunk" award!

After Trunk or Treat, we went over to Nella's house for dinner and trick or treating - hay ride style - in her neighborhood. I'm fairly certain that we have hit the JACKPOT of neighborhoods as far as the loot is concerned! Holy cow!

I'm pretty sure that the picture of me and the Littles pretty much sums up our lives.

Me = Trying to keep order, but so happy to be doing it.
Rachel = Who really knows these days.
Sam = Trying to save the world; one villain at a time.
Emmy = "Who me"?
Sarah = "Why me"?

It was a good Halloween. Hallelujah Harvest wasn't put on at the church this year, but I think that the Littles had even more fun than they ever have before.

We swadddled Sam just like we swaddle the babies...

Bubbles!!

O Happy Day!

This is pretty much what a typical Saturday afternoon is like around The Corley Clan's tree house. There's always noise, music, talking, and laughing.
Emmy really enjoyed this song, and randomly asks to hear it. After the song (which is really long, sorry), it kinda gets a little more like our day around here.
Enjoy!

Silly Emmy

Kiddie Coat Rack

With as many Littles as we have, there are many, many more coats and sweaters, so I asked Man to make me a coat rack. I think it's perfect! Both Sam and Emmy (and eventually Sarah) can reach it, so now, they can all hang up their own jackets, and I don't have to chase them around to do it myself.

Once the Littles were able to finish their project of sanding all of the pegs, they got a little bored, so they broke out the bubbles. The rest is all history.

Sarah - 6 Months

I feel like I may talk about Sarah too much sometimes, so for her 6th month, I'm going to refer you to her 5th month and then keep an eye out for her 7th month in a few weeks.

Either way, she's awesome!

Me & Bitty

Well, It's a Little Cold

It was 32 degrees this morning when we all rolled out of our warm beds. While Rusty and I did things around the house, the Littles decided to snuggle together on the couch - without my prompting. After breakfast, the "walking babies" got their winter gear on (minus a glove) and went outside to feel just how cold it was. It took them SO long to get ready that it had warmed up to 40 degrees by the time they finally got out there, but they had fun, and I got some pretty cute pictures.

It should be noted that this is the very first time that, when asked, Emmy actually smiled for the camera...and didn't argue about it.
