A Birthday Party x 3

Having 3 babies with December birthdays is...interesting, to say the least. This year, we combined their birthdays (I know...they got the raw end of the deal) into one birthday party for all three of them. It actually worked out wonderfully! Rachel had some friends over to play, and the kids got tons of cool stuff. Rachel and Sam had the same birthday cake as everyone else, but because Little Emmy turned "1", she got her own cake to play in. She started out all dainty, but with help from others, she finally got into it...and it got all over her!! She even had it in her hair!

What a fun time!

Fear Not Factor!

Rachel's Christmas Play this year, was as usual, a hit! All of the kids did a great job. Rachel's teacher even came by!

Little Miss' 1st Prank

Looks like Little Miss Sarah has already pulled an April Fool's joke on us all. She is no longer due ON April Fool's, but instead, she is due on April 15th! It figures, doesn't it?!

I had a follow up ultrasound yesterday, and the doctor said that everything looks great! And, of course, I had them confirm that Sarah is still a Sarah, and she is! So it's 100% that we are having another Little Miss!

Emmy - 1 Year Old

Little Miss has turned 1 year old! It's happened! I can't believe how fast this year has gone by! And, as I have been threatening teeth over the last several months, I can proudly say that Emmy FINALLY has a tooth peeking out of her gums. It's peeking, so pictures will have to come later, but it's there! And, so is the slobber!! Gallons upon gallons of slobber! It's hard to believe that something so little could produce SO MUCH SLOBBER!
Emmy is walking around the couches and wherever she can get an opportunity to climb up, but she hasn't yet ventured into the land of walking on her own. She is so adorable cute though, it's hard to believe that she's gonna be a big sister soon!

Rock Star

I've never given anyone a Mohawk before, and once Cody said that he wanted his hair cut real short, I took it as an opportunity to play! I know, I know! It's completely crooked, but I did do it in the dark, and I have never done it before! Don't worry, Cody only had the Mohawk long enough to take pictures...then we shaved it the rest of the way off!

A Batman Appearance

I am completely aware that Halloween is over, but he just insists on being Batman every opportunity that he can get!

O Christmas Tree!

After all of the Thanksgiving festivities were over, we all put the Christmas tree up. It has become a tradition for each of us to put our own ornaments up each year, so we got last year's ornaments and combined them with this year's new additions! Angelyn even added her own flavor to the tree, and gave us a squirrel that we have been hiding not all over the tree, but throughout the house, as usual! The squirrel is only about the size of a kid size applesauce, so it makes for a challenging search! In a few years, we will probably have to go down to adding just one ornament per year, but for now, it's been a pretty fun tradition!

Thanksgiving, 2009

This Thanksgiving was so much fun! We took it easy on Thanksgiving Day, and just had a nice country meal from Cracker Barrell. The kids put corn starch and water together to make a pretty slimy craft (called Ublech), and boy, did they make a mess! The next day, several of the Corley Clan from Interlachen came up, and Bart and Patti came down from Tennessee for a visit. There was SO MUCH FOOD!! Rusty, the kids, and I cooked (and cleaned up) so much food. I think we brought six different dishes to dinner and 98% of them were made from scratch! I'd have to say that the best part of this year's Thanksgiving celebration was all of us working together before dinner to make all of the grub!

After we visited with the Corleys, everyone went to Dorothy B. Oven Park to see the Christmas lights! Emmy and I came home because of a wonderful cold that we ended up spreading all over the country! Patti, Joey, and Beth ended up getting sick (sorry, guys)!

Tropicana Speech, 2009

Rachel was asked to be a part of the Tropicana Speech Competition. She was selected to compete for her class, and won 3rd place. She then won 5th place in the entire 4th Grade! We are so proud of her accomplishments! She is already better at public speaking than I could ever be!

Who's the Boss?

Emmy's already started to pick on her big brother! Here, she wrapped him up in a blanket and force fed him candy!

A Few Chores

After unpacking the diapers and wipes, I decided to do a little laundry!
