Love This Kiddo

Random Pictures

I was cleaning out some of my emails (from 2004), and found some very interesting emails...these were some of the better pictures that I had saved..

The Many Stages of Kid-dom

I don't know if I am more sensitive to this because I am so hormonally pregnant or what, but in the last few months, I have noticed something with my littles...They have a tendency to be very annoying.
Cody - puts some of the most random things on Facebook or says some of the most strange things. I guess he's keeping me on my toes, but I don't know that I will EVER understand a 16 year old "man". He also moves from room to room, plops down, and sits there. Within 5 minutes, he gets up and moves to another room...at what point to they start to lose all of this energy? Really? It's as if he has so much that sitting still, even at 16, isn't possible! I'm in some serious trouble here with 4 more littles to have to turn 16!
Rachel - she's at the stage where she feels that ALL EYES MUST BE ON HER, and that if they are not, they will be soon! Again, this could totally be pregnancy hormones, but my goodness!!! This child can not NOT be the entire center of attention. She is at the point in life where she desperately wants to be a part of the adult conversations, adult behaviors, etc., but doesn't quite know her place. I can remember this part of my life...it hasn't been THAT long ago! 10 year old girls = Grrrrrr...... (and yes, I have to do this twice more with Emmy and Sarah).
Sam - WHINES WAAAAAAAYYY TOOOO MUCH! He's at the point where he has to put his nose on the wall each time he whines because we are trying to stop the noise! Of course, Rachel or Emmy have absolutely nothing to contribute to his whining...yeah right! Poor kid is going to have his hands full with three sisters...I imagine he'll be whining for the next, oh, 14 years!
Emmy - this child knows how to push my buttons already. I will give her a bottle, and just as soon as I get into the other room, the child throws the silly bottle on the floor and just looks at me. This is called "Gravity Game", and Mommy doesn't play well with others! Emmy has ended up in time out several times, and she knows exactly why! It's pretty crazy to see her, at just a year old, respond to even the smallest discipline. It's amazing what consistent discipline can do for a kid.
Sarah - Yes...she's not even born yet, but somehow, she has already managed to annoy me. She causes me to gain weight, have a constant runny nose with a sinus headache, have unbearably itchy shins, sneeze, st udder, and have wonderfully sweaty, smelly feet! Poor kid...I'm already irritated, and she's not even here yet!
Oh! I need a vacation!!!!

My Favorites!

This is my Uncle Sam and Aunt Corny and their kids and grandchildren. I think that this may very well be the best picture of these two I have ever seen!

Emmy's New Do

Little girls like it when people play with their hair. For that matter, so do big girls! Rachel has been dying to "style" Emmy's hair, so I let her tonight. It just melted my heart. My little girlies playing dress up!

An "Amazing" Sunrise

We left out really early to take Cody back to his Mom's this year, and as the sun rose, so did these crosses. Talk about absolutely beautiful! After awhile, there were two in the sky.

"When we've been here 10,000 years
Bright shining as the sun
We've no less days
To sing God's praise
Than when we've first begun!"

A New Year's Sleepover

The Corley Clan went over to Chris and Ang's house for a New Years Eve Fondue party, and the littles slept over. This was actually Sam's very first sleepover, and he did great!

The Year in Review

2009 has been such a wonderful year for the Corley Clan. We have seen many changes come our way. Changes that we would have never expected in a million years. God has made His way into our lives in such a powerful way by blessing us with a wonderful, growing family and friends that we could have never imagined.

I hope 2010 is half as good as 2009 has been!

Christmas, 2009

Kitty? Seriously?

Looks like Kitty didn't actually die like we originally suspected. I think she decided to put us up for adoption because she is still living in our neighborhood. She has picked new owners. Rusty saw her a few weeks ago, and I just thought he had seen her "kitty double" running around the neighborhood, so I didn't believe him. The other night, I pulled into the driveway, and sure enough, it was kitty standing there!
It's just like a cat though to be choosy. She was just choosy about her family as well as everything else!!

Peekapoo?

We are thinking of adding a new addition to the family. I'd like to get a Peekapoo (Pekingese/Poodle mix) that kinda looks like this one, if possible...I've done some research, and even met one, and so far, it's looking like this breed is perfect for our family. Time will tell...

A Birthday Party x 3

Having 3 babies with December birthdays is...interesting, to say the least. This year, we combined their birthdays (I know...they got the raw end of the deal) into one birthday party for all three of them. It actually worked out wonderfully! Rachel had some friends over to play, and the kids got tons of cool stuff. Rachel and Sam had the same birthday cake as everyone else, but because Little Emmy turned "1", she got her own cake to play in. She started out all dainty, but with help from others, she finally got into it...and it got all over her!! She even had it in her hair!

What a fun time!

Fear Not Factor!

Rachel's Christmas Play this year, was as usual, a hit! All of the kids did a great job. Rachel's teacher even came by!

Random Emmy Noises

It's a known fact that Emmy can make some interesting noises. Here are a few!

Little Miss' 1st Prank

Looks like Little Miss Sarah has already pulled an April Fool's joke on us all. She is no longer due ON April Fool's, but instead, she is due on April 15th! It figures, doesn't it?!

I had a follow up ultrasound yesterday, and the doctor said that everything looks great! And, of course, I had them confirm that Sarah is still a Sarah, and she is! So it's 100% that we are having another Little Miss!

Emmy - 1 Year Old

Little Miss has turned 1 year old! It's happened! I can't believe how fast this year has gone by! And, as I have been threatening teeth over the last several months, I can proudly say that Emmy FINALLY has a tooth peeking out of her gums. It's peeking, so pictures will have to come later, but it's there! And, so is the slobber!! Gallons upon gallons of slobber! It's hard to believe that something so little could produce SO MUCH SLOBBER!
Emmy is walking around the couches and wherever she can get an opportunity to climb up, but she hasn't yet ventured into the land of walking on her own. She is so adorable cute though, it's hard to believe that she's gonna be a big sister soon!
