Cookies, Fear Me!

I've always struggled with my weight! That's no secret! This May will be 2 years that I have been paying better attention to eating habits, exercising, and bettering myself. I started attending Weight Watchers meetings in May of 2007. By the time March, 2008 rolled around, I had lost 75 pounds! I had gone from an enormous size 26 to a size 14/16. Then, I got pregnant!

Now that Emmy has been born, I no longer have any excuses. I started back to Weight Watchers in mid-December, but have yet to really lose any weight. I'm procrastinating! No, I've not gained anything, but the whole point to Weight Watchers is to lose weight and then to maintain a healthy weight. I've maintained, but I've not maintained a healthy weight!

I gained 35 pounds with this last pregnancy, so, I'm still down from where I was, but nowhere near what I'd like to be.

With that, I'm letting everyone know that I have started back FULL FORCE this week with the Weight Watchers program. I know that doing the program correctly will help me to lose the weight, but telling people about it (such as yourselves) will hold me much more accountable. I've even decided to let you all know my progress from time to time.

I've got 90 pounds to lose! One of the local radio stations has one of its DJs that is also losing weight this year. His motto is, "90 in 09", so that's what I'm gonna try to shoot for!

I wanted to attach an inspirational video. Consider this video the christening of my journey!

OHMN, OHMN, OHMN, OHMN, OHMN, OHMN!!!

Ugh. I hate weight discussions. I go through these phases where I'll stick to a plan for two weeks, and then I get my period and blow it. You know, when I came back from NYC, I lost seven pounds! I think the secret is staying active. Ha! Like we have nothing to do, right? But my problem is my occupation - I'm a writer who sits at a desk. When I was in NYC, I was running all over the place. I need to work in a work out plan, but then I think about all the stuff I have to do, and I never get around to it. I wish you all the luck in the world! If anyone can do it, you can.

Thanks! I've done it before. I can do it again!! You're absolutely right about being active.

Maybe you could do your exercise early in the morning and get it over with?

Just caught up on your blog. Ms. Emmy is way cute! As are all your children! Good luck on your goal. I have also struggled with weight gain most of my life and I too spend too much time sitting at a computer. I think we need to devise podiums with stair steppers or cycles attached to them. The computer would sit on top and be powered by the user's efforts. Wonder if I would spend so much time on the computer if I had to power it myself. Probably not! Best wishes to you and your beautiful family. Marsha

That's a BRILLIANT idea, Marsha!!! You should market that! YOu know, people will do ANYTHING to lose weight!

Before long, we're all gonna be like those people on WALL-E, if you've seen that movie. They all sit in chairs that do everything for them, and the world population becomes obese!

Thanks!
