The kids and I met Angelyn and Chris at Skate World on Saturday for the C4 (Calvary Chapel Children's Church) get together. The church rented out the whole place, so we didn't have to worry about the music or other kids. It was fantastic to just let them go. They ordered pizza and several of the parents brought cookies and such (which did not help my Weight Watchers Adventure at all). I hope C4 puts on another one of these nights soon. It was awesome!
Rachel won 1st place in the race, and Sam got to see two Supermans! Two of the guys dressed up as "Captain Calvary" and "Dynamo". They had capes and everything. Sam was thrilled!! Even though Sam didn't skate very much, he did get his exercise. He ran laps around the skating rink all night long. Yes, he slept well that night!
Emmy got her fill too. She didn't quite know what to think with the music and lights. She even fell asleep at one point!

Rachel's prize was a glow stick. She was the loudest screamer there (go figure).
I could never even begin to try that. You go, girl!
Emmy was happy to just suck on her fingers.
Ang got to love on Emmy for a bit. It's so hard to get Emmy to look at the camera sometimes, so we work with what we are given!

I love skating! I do prefer the wheels on my skates to be evenly balanced on either side of my foot - not all right down the middle. :) Go Rachel!
