Awana Wednesdays

This is where the kids and I spend our Wednesday nights. Rachel goes to TNT, Sam goes to Cubbies, and Emmy plays in the toy room every Wednesday night from 6:30-8:00. Awana is a lot like Boy/Girl Scouts but Jesus style. They work to earn badges, learn about Jesus, and have a great time doing it!

Plum Tuckered

Emmy fell asleep. Usually, she wakes up at any little noise out of the ordinary, and she ALWAYS seems to wake up when I take her picture. I think she was just plum tuckered out. Sam was laughing at me while I was taking Emmy's picture. He asked if I'd take one of him. He pretended to be asleep! Notice the little smile coming out of the corner of his mouth.

Busy Bee Am I

It just occurred to me that I've done 25 blog entries (this is the 26th) in just the month of January!! Holy Smokes!!

The "Many" Faces of Rachel

Joey took Rachel flying over Thanksgiving, and gave her control of the camera. Big mistake!

Arrrgh!

Sam and his friend from church, Jed, have the most amazing time when they play. Last week, it was Batman and Superman. This week it was a pirate and a Star Wars guy. Who knows where we will find the boys next week!

Happy Birthday, Boppy!!

Ang is the MASTER CAKE MAKER!! There's a super long back story to why anyone would truly appreciate a tornado cake, but to sum it up, Beth once saved the entire Eastern Seaboard from a massive tornado, and in doing so, has become rather famous (at least with the Corley family - - - and now, with several others in the Tallahassee area (Thanks to Joey, Angelyn, and me))!
Joey threw Beth a surprise birthday party this past weekend. During the planning stages over the last week, Tallahassee experienced some crazy weather (including several tornadoes in the area), so when Ang and I were at breakfast on Thursday morning, she suggested that we make Beth a tornado cake in her honor! I don't think either one of us expected this bad boy to be as AMAZING as it turned out, but holy smokes, this is quite possibly the coolest cake I've ever seen.
Joey had me read a somewhat "G-rated" version of his original story of how Beth saved the world from a tornado, and then we presented her with the cake. I don't know that Beth could have had a better birthday celebration...oh wait! Yes, I do. Beth got a ticket (her very first ticket ever) on the way to Joey's (hehe).
I've linked Joey's blog to the website so you can go visit the video of the story and of the cake reveal if you want to delve into this a little more.
I told Angelyn that this cake may have very well been her ticket into the Corley family...she didn't believe me...I was right though...they LOVE her!

A Babby Surprise

Babby sent Rachel and Sam a surprise today in the mail. Within minutes, they had completely changed into their new outfits, and had huge smiles on their faces! Thanks, Babby!

Spider Man Sam

Sam's new shirt: Spiderman says, "It's web swingin' time!" Sam shoots the web from his hand, and then a nice little wave to everyone!! Love this little!!

My Photoshoppin' Honey

Rusty has a feature on his phone that can let him do some rather interesting things with pictures. We went to Angelyn's house last weekend for pizza, and he took this picture of Kate and Angelyn. After playing around on the photo shop program that he has on his phone, here's what it looked like after. I like this one...Kate decided to take a picture of Rusty at the same time he was taking a picture of her. Oops!!
