I don't know if I am more sensitive to this because I am so hormonally pregnant or what, but in the last few months, I have noticed something with my littles...They have a tendency to be very annoying.
Cody - puts some of the most random things on Facebook or says some of the most strange things. I guess he's keeping me on my toes, but I don't know that I will EVER understand a 16 year old "man". He also moves from room to room, plops down, and sits there. Within 5 minutes, he gets up and moves to another room...at what point to they start to lose all of this energy? Really? It's as if he has so much that sitting still, even at 16, isn't possible! I'm in some serious trouble here with 4 more littles to have to turn 16!
Rachel - she's at the stage where she feels that ALL EYES MUST BE ON HER, and that if they are not, they will be soon! Again, this could totally be pregnancy hormones, but my goodness!!! This child can not NOT be the entire center of attention. She is at the point in life where she desperately wants to be a part of the adult conversations, adult behaviors, etc., but doesn't quite know her place. I can remember this part of my life...it hasn't been THAT long ago! 10 year old girls = Grrrrrr...... (and yes, I have to do this twice more with Emmy and Sarah).
Sam - WHINES WAAAAAAAYYY TOOOO MUCH! He's at the point where he has to put his nose on the wall each time he whines because we are trying to stop the noise! Of course, Rachel or Emmy have absolutely nothing to contribute to his whining...yeah right! Poor kid is going to have his hands full with three sisters...I imagine he'll be whining for the next, oh, 14 years!
Emmy - this child knows how to push my buttons already. I will give her a bottle, and just as soon as I get into the other room, the child throws the silly bottle on the floor and just looks at me. This is called "Gravity Game", and Mommy doesn't play well with others! Emmy has ended up in time out several times, and she knows exactly why! It's pretty crazy to see her, at just a year old, respond to even the smallest discipline. It's amazing what consistent discipline can do for a kid.
Sarah - Yes...she's not even born yet, but somehow, she has already managed to annoy me. She causes me to gain weight, have a constant runny nose with a sinus headache, have unbearably itchy shins, sneeze, st udder, and have wonderfully sweaty, smelly feet! Poor kid...I'm already irritated, and she's not even here yet!
Oh! I need a vacation!!!!
