My, Oh My!

This was taken the day that I met Cody so many years ago! I am so proud of him. He's such a wonderful young man, and I can't wait to watch him grown into the wonderful, God fearing adult that I know he is going to be!
I love you, kiddo!

Is Pink Allowed?

I used to play softball in high school, and I was pretty good. I played a little city league after high school, but it's been probably 8 years since I did that even. I got together with some friends to play against the Dept. of Juvenile Justice this past Friday. I can tell you now that I haven't laughed so hard in a very long time!
Of the 4 of us, none of us truly wanted to play, we just wanted to hit, but Jenny made me laugh so hard with her pink helmet and pink glove. The "coach" was asking who wanted to hit next, and here's Jenny, in all of her pink glory, saying "Ooo Ooo! Pick me, pick me!!!" as Angelyn pushed Jenny out into the field. I think Ang and I lost it at that point, and I don't know that I ever recovered. Tears were streaming down my face from laughter! I eventually got to hit, and I made it to third before someone forced me out!
What an amazing day! I had such an awesome time. I just wish Steph could have been there to play too! Maybe next time!

The Little is almost 5 months old! I can't believe it!
Here are a few fun pictures that we've taken over the last few weeks!

Babby & Uncle Bart

Patti & Bart just recently celebrated their 20th wedding Anniversary! Congratulations, you two!

The OLD days

This picture was taken some time ago. I'd say mid 70s, but Patti could tell you better...

Useless Information

How to tell if a crab is a boy or a girl:
Flip it over. If it's belly looks like a lighthouse, it's a boy. If it looks like a beehive, it's a girl.

Puppetshow to Boot

Sam's imagination is running wild. Earlier tonight, he was running around the house as a horse, and just now, he was lying on the floor talking to himself. He is constantly sending himself to timeout (just like we would), and pretending that he is some sort of animal (my personal favorite) is the frog..."wibbit! wibbit!"
As Sam is lying on the floor, talking to himself, all of a sudden, he switches his tune, and suddenly, his foot has become a puppetshow.
"Hello. I a puppetshow", says Sam, as he wiggles his toes.
This may be the cutest thing that Sam has done in a very long time, so I run into the kitchen to grab the camera. Of course, I make him do it again. He goes on for a few more minutes, and then, all of a sudden, both feet pop up on the edge of the couch.
"Hello. I two puppetshows", Sam exclaimed!
My poor heart. I don't know if I can take much more of this kid. He melts my heart on a daily basis.

Easter, 2009

We spent our Easter weekend in Interlachen and Tallahassee. The kids had a blast at the Interlachen Easter Egg Hunt, and us grown-ups had a wonderful time visiting. Joey got some awesome pictures for me.
Interlachen
Once we got back to Tallahassee, we went to bed for an exciting Easter Sunday.
We went to church Sunday morning, and then, headed over to Grammy's house for lunch. Grammy's church had an Easter Egg Hunt that the kids really came out on top of. I'm tellin' ya, they're competitive...just like their Mama! I don't think that anyone had as many Easter Eggs as the Corleys did! After the Egg Hunt, we went back over to Grammy's. We went there like we have never been before.
Cody drove us there!
Yes. It has happened. My kiddo has gotten his Learner's Permit, and he drove for the very first time. He was somewhat freaking out with Rusty in the front seat. I think that he was intimidate, scared, excited, etc all in one instance, but, Cody did an amazing job. We let him drive nearly every day this Spring Break. He even drove himself back to his Mom's today (interstate and all)! I'm so proud of him! He's such an awesome kid!

The Big Jump

Brett, my nephew, went sky diving for the very first time yesterday. He said that it was AWESOME. We were talking about it, and I'd have to say that, as much as I would absolutely LOVE to jump out of a perfectly good airplane, I think that I'm gonna have to pass on this excursion. I will now be living vicariously through Brett when it comes to insane stunts. If I didn't have the "littles", I would seriously consider doing it, but I have to be responsible.
Now, you too, can live vicariously through Brett. Here are some of his pictures!

Try Not to Laugh

I've seen this video before, but I had forgotten just how wonderful a baby can make you feel. No, this is not one of mine, but this kid is too cute!

More Than Just a Makeover

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition aired Easter Sunday night. Thanks to my friend, Stephanie, I got some good pictures to add to the blog. The story of George Kadzis' illness reminds me so much of my Dad's illness, so this episode hit close to my heart. You can Watch the Episode Here, but you may have to download the software to watch it. Heads up, it's a 2 hour episode, so set aside some time.

One way or the other, I made it onto national television - right near the 60 minute mark. I'm wearing a blue t-shirt and my "fru-fru" sunglasses!
This entire experience was such a blessing to this community. People came from all over the place to support this family in their time of need, and it just gave me a warm, fuzzy feeling to know that we live in such a wonderful city!
