Hallelujah Harvest, 2008

So, I've already mentioned that our church does the Hallelujah Harvest each year. It seems that every year, more and more people come, which is a blessing. ABC News even stopped by this year! There were nearly 700 people there (it seemed), and most of them are just part of the community. It's so great that the community can come by for some free entertainment and fellowship for them and their kids. It usually happens that we get new church members from this event, so we'll see what happens this year.
I have a TON of pictures of the kids this year. I will try to hold back, but I can't guarantee anything!
Rachel INSISTED that she be an "Asian Princess" this year, and Sam is SO in to super heroes, the "Superman" was the only costume that he would even look at. They really hit it off at the Hallelujah Harvest!

Governor Sarah Palin (a.k.a. Angelyn) even stopped by the Hallelujah Harvest! She said that people were asking for photos and even autographs! (Gotta love Grammy in the background...just chillin').

Rachel somehow talked Sarah Palin in to painting her face. Hmmm...Maybe Rachel should go into politics!!!

Pastor Jeff seemed super excited to paint Sammy's face. I think he may have thought that Sam was going to freak out. Nope. Not my boy! He was kind of upset that it went SO quickly. Pastor Jeff is a "Master Face Painter". He painted Sam's lightning bolt like no one else could.

After her face was painted, Rachel had to get her hair done too! The funny thing? She asked if they were doing fingernails too! Miss Priss!

We had a blast once Beth and Joey got there. They took to the Hallelujah Harvest like they were pros! It was a nice break too. Each of them took off with one of the kids at some point, so I was able to just waddle around and not be too active.

Then, there's always the pony rides (horseys). We told Rachel that because she was an Asian Princess, she had to ride side saddle, but she wanted nothing to do with that. Sam just thought he was hot stuff up there on the horseys.

One can NEVER get enough candy...unless you are a Corley kid..then you get a limit! Church members walked around with buckets o' candy with balloons attached, and everyone just went crazy! I walked inside the church at one point, and there was an entire room devoted to candy handouts!

There were TONS of rides and games that the kids could play on.

Sam LOVED all of the jumpers.

Rachel even got to milk a cow!

The kids even got to flex their muscles a bit!

Joey decided that I needed to have my picture taken...even though I was totally not ready for the picture! I've decided that this picture shows off my 9 month pregnant, hormonal woman costume! Isn't that great.(Notice Grammy, in the background...chillin' again!) : )

Finally!!! Grammy smiled for a picture!!! Somehow, Rusty seems to be "growing" out of the top of her head!! Hmmm....

Again, we had such a BLAST at this year's Hallelujah Harvest! We all made it out alive...except for this guy! This guy was on the side of our road by Rusty's Barber Shop. I just thought it was hilarious!!!
