His most recent adventure has turned him into a part-time alligator / part-time dinosaur. I'm tellin' ya, this kid is ALL BOY!
Over the weekend, he spent the majority of his time at home slithering across the floor growling like, he believes, an alligator would sound. He's never actually seen an alligator in person, so where this came from, I'll never know. He'd slither up to his unsuspecting "prey" and take a "bite" out of their leg, arm, stomach, or whatever else was easily accessib
"Raar" goes back a little father than his newly found alligator/Samosaur days. "Raar" goes back to several things. "Raar" encompasses what a dinosaur, monster, or even a Super Villain would say.
More recently, "Raar" was one of Sam's guest stars in his puppet show. "Raar" a.k.a. Sam's left hand!
As I mentioned before, Sam's imagination has just taken off! Rusty and I have caught him having his own puppet shows with his hands. He doesn't even have puppets sometimes, but his hands make sufficient puppets for him, I imagine.
One day, Rusty and I were watching Sam play with his "puppet show", and he said, "Mommy! This 'Raar'", as he points to his left hand. Out of sheer curiosity, I point to his right hand and I say, "Yeah? What's that one's name?" He hadn't thought about that before. You could see the hamster nearly falling off of the wheel! He thought about that for just a few seconds, and then responded, "Beep Beep". Apparently, his right hand puppet's name is "Beep Beep".
Angelyn gave the both of the kids a puppet at the baby shower a few weekends ago. Rachel got a gorgeous blue parrot, and Sam got a black gorrilla. Guess what the gorrilla was named?
Yup! "Raar"
There you have it. "Raar" (the bad guy) and "Beep Beep" (the good guy) as declared by Sammy Pants himself!
Life long mortal enemies!
